North Country Steel’s Story

North Country Steel began operation in 2002 when Bruce Firth recognised a need within the coal mining Industry for a functional and safe solution for mine personnel clothing and equipment storage within bathhouses.

In those early days working from the farm shed, a bathhouse locker system was developed with detailed input from mining clients.

Working from the farm in the following years NCS contracted supply to a growing range of clients from the Australian mining Industry.

In 2009 we purchased our current premises and the range of products expanded to include locker systems for the food industry, abattoirs, defence installations, emergency services etc.

North Country Steel continues its “can do” attitude and “client needs” based approach to product development and installation of superior industrial locker systems.

Our future focus is to continue to provide industry relevant and fit for purpose locker systems by continued listening and implementation of the end users input whilst being easy to deal with.
